A rare high-fired 'flambe' glazed Bretby bowl, by Henry Tooth and Co, made circa 1900 to 1910 - inspired by 17th/18th Century Chinese "peach bloom" and "sacrificial red" glazes.
Condition - excellent - no damages or restoration. What appears to be a chip on the rim is under glaze.
20cm (8.8inches) diameter. 9.5cm (3.8 inches) high.
