A fine and rare baluster-form vase, strikingly painted in underglaze cobalt blue, depicting a Tiger and a Chimera standing on rocks above breaking waves and with two hawks in flight amongst clouds and flaming pearls. The vase is heavy in weight and was made during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor (1662-1722). Condition: The neck has been reduced slightly. There are no chips or cracks.There has been no restoration.
