A rare, early, female Buddhist Lion painted with unevenly distributed crackular overglaze turquoise enamel. This item was probably made in China during the 17th or early 18th Century
Condition: very good - there are many small underglaze firing cracks; there is glaze loss to both eyes and there is 'kiln grit'to the base. No chips or external cracks and no repairs or restoration.
