#1706 Rare Antique Pocket Travel Chess / Draughts Set, circa 1900-1915 **SOLD** December 2018

A very scarce gold tooled leather cased "pocket" chess / draughts set with leather board and flat celluloid ( early plastic ) pieces made during the early years of the 20th Century.

Condition: very good.

Case: 5.3 inches / 13.7cm long; 3.3 inches / 8.5 cm wide

Board: 6.7 inches /  17cm across; 5.2 inches / 13.2 cm high.

We have included a couple of pictures from the London "Army Navy Stores" catalogue (1907) for a closely related 'Pocket Chess Set'.
