A fine and rare 'Transitional' double gourd vase, delicately painted in underglaze blue, depicting two scholars at leisure in a garden. The neck is decorated with styalized tulips. This item was made circa 1640 during the reign of the Chongzhen Emperor (1628 to 1644).

Condition - there are museum style gold leaf repairs to the top and there is a kiln iron spot on the lapet border to the waist of the vase.

8 inches (20cm) high.

一件精美稀有的“过渡期”青花人物葫芦瓶。瓶颈以郁金香装饰。作于明崇祯年间，约1640年左右。
品相：瓶口有博物馆风格的金叶修补，瓶中间有一处烧制过程中形成的铁锈色斑。高20厘米。
