#0197 Large Chinese Falangcai Vase - Daoguang Reign (1821-1850) **Sold** through our Liverpool shop - September 2012 利物浦店内售出 - 2012年9月

A large vase, spectacularly decorated with falangcai (famille rose) enamels against a pale green background depicting a pantheon of gods, immortals, legendary figures and mythical beasts in a heavenly landscape amongst mountains and clouds. This item was made in the first half of the 19th Century during the reign of the Daoguang Emperor (1821-1850).

Condition - the neck has been cut down, and ground, there are glaze hairlines to the base and there are minor losses to the enamels. No further damage and no restoration.

Height 17.8 inches (45cm).
