A rare bamboo form porcelain brush pot with finely moulded bamboo decoration coated with a bright and vibrant turquoise glaze.
This brush pot / bitong was made in China early in the 18th Century during the reign of the Kangxi or Yongzheng emperors.
Although more commonly associated with middle easter ceramics turquoise glazes have been found in China since the Tang dynasty. Turquoise glazes have been used on imperial porcelain from the Ming Xuande reign and were in particular favour with the Kangxi,Yongzheng and Qianlong emperors.
This item is complete with its early 19th Century (probably French) custom made fitted ormolu gilt bronze stand.
There is a very similar smaller "bamboo stem" Brush Pot illustrated in "The Chinese Porcelain Collection of Marie Vergottis" cataloged by John Ayers, Former Keeper of the Far Eastern Department of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
Condition: excellent. No damages and no restoration.

18世纪 松石绿釉笔筒(带镀金座) 1700-1730
竹节形瓷笔筒,表面施有松石绿(孔雀蓝)釉,色彩鲜亮。笔筒作于18世纪清康熙或雍正年间。
虽然松石绿釉在西方一般会跟中东的陶瓷联系在一起,但其实早在中国唐朝就已出现。松石绿釉曾用于明宣德时期的官窑器上,在清康雍乾时期特别受皇帝的青睐。
此件瓷器配有19世纪定制的(估为法国做)镀金铜座。类似的小型竹节形笔筒,可以参见伦敦维多利亚与阿尔伯特博物馆远东部前负责人John Ayers编著的《The Chinese Porcelain Collection of Marie Vergottis》一书中的图片。
品相:完好。无损伤,无修复。高14厘米处,带座高17.5厘米。
