#1577 Victorian Painted Lacquer Panel from Japan, circa 1875 - 1900

A lacquered wooden panel decorated in Victorian taste with well painted flowering roses, made in Japan for export during the last quarter of the 19th Century.

Condition: there are chips and losses to the lacquer - mostly at the edges of the panel.

40cm (15.75 inches) high; 24.5cm (9.5 inchs) wide.
