A relief decorated brass vase made in Syria in the 19th Century. Similar, more recently made, vessels decoratively customized to Western taste, are pictured in the 1907 catalogue of the Army and Navy Co-operative Society (department store) and in the 1913 Christmas catalogue of A.W. Gamage Ltd (Gamages) of Holborn, London described as "Syrian raised Brass Heart Shape Fern Pot No.X.2"; and also
